What an account changes

Not the vehicle, the driver or the service. Those are the same either way.

Agreed rates

Regular work is quoted against rates agreed with your accounts contact instead of priced from scratch each time. Anything unusual is still quoted before it runs.

One invoice

Card details stop being part of the booking, so somebody can book a courier at four on a Friday without finance seeing another card receipt.

Your paperwork, your way

PODs and booking confirmations by email if you want them, your order numbers and references on the job, and only the people you name able to book against the account.

Online booking and tracking

The customer login is for account holders. Without an account you book by phone or through the quote form.

It is worth it when there is a pattern. Weekly parts runs, samples to the same laboratory, stock between two sites, several people booking and one person reconciling the invoices.

Terms

The application is signed, so read our conditions of carriage and storage before you submit it. Three things in there apply to every account:

VAT: Charges are quoted and invoiced excluding VAT.
Invoice queries: Raised within 21 days of the invoice date.
Late payment: Interest at 8 per cent over HSBC base rate.
Credit limit: The one you ask for on the form, subject to what accounts can agree.

Account questions

Does an account get a better price?

It gets agreed rates for the work you do regularly, rather than a fresh quote each time. Price still follows distance, vehicle, timing, access and any special handling, and it is fixed before you commit.

Do I need an account if I only send occasionally?

No, and it is usually not worth the paperwork. Ring 0345 8333 833 or send the quote form and we will quote the job. An account is a credit arrangement with a company, which is why the application asks for a registration number. Private customers are welcome either way and do not need one.

What if I do not have all the details to hand?

Ring accounts on 023 8202 4964 and they will take you through it. The form is one page and submits in one go, so it is worth having the list above ready before you start.

Apply for an account

Have this to hand before you start:

Your company name, registered address and company registration number
Your VAT number, if you are registered
A contact name, email, landline and mobile
The credit limit you want, per week or per month
Someone authorised to agree our terms, because the form is signed at the bottom

You can also name the people allowed to book, tell us which order numbers or references to put on your paperwork, give a separate invoice address, and ask for PODs and booking confirmations to be emailed. Those are optional and easy to change later.
